Photographer Anthony Lycett author of the prodigious book ‘Self Styled: Dare to be different’ celebrates the freedom of individualism and expression and in the story ‘J’eux d’enfants’ we see the twinning of a child’s expression of play while still retaining the heart of a child through dress up.
The inspiration for the J’eux d’enfants:
International creative director and HMU designer Astrid Kearney collaborated with accessories designer and performance artist Anne-Sophie Cochevelou for the story. Anne-Sophie creates wearable art that displays a mix of powerfulness and fragility, which mirrors the playfulness of children.
Stylist Kellyann Saunders used vintage pieces that harmonised the look and together they created perfect synchronicity to the J’eux d’enfants. Astrid saw in model Tilly Chapman, the embodiment of wisdom and playfulness. Through the stunning captures created by the team, Tilly has shown that it is a true testament that children lead the way!
