Bohemian Wanderer – Sunburnt oranges, vibrant yellows and rich reds are the colours needed to add a bit of warmth to our wanderlust adventures during the cold snap in the UK. The ‘East from the Beast’ was not going to deter our free-spirited soul and yearning for Spring. A place to give an allure of the warm Mediterranean was the Wroxeter Roman City –Viroconium Cornoviorum. Our whimsical day was filled with energetic colour and comfort of FUB ethical childrenswear and embellished in bohemian chic by a Hare in the Forest boutique.

I’m completely captivated by Oak’s freedom to jump and climb the remains of the Roman bath and high basilica wall, the very core of the Danish brand FUB, where they believe children’s clothes should feel good while not inhibiting their playful creativity. Oak wears the 100% organic cotton fine knitwear, a striking bold red double striped pattern with a block of bright yellow which adds a fun vibrancy and a warm glow.

Good for your eco child too since FUB only source the softest and purest yarn – organic cotton (GOTS) certified – without any harmful toxins being involved – Oeko Tex certified – and all dyes are metal free. FUB has literally charmed us with their playful, colourful and ethically outlasting pieces where you are free to mix and match their contemporary and minimalism fun designs.

Our carefree wanderings bring us to the re-created Roman townhouse, the colours and passageways tantalizing the imagination, conjuring thoughts of bazaars you’d find wandering around colourful streets of Marrakech with rugs, kilim and baskets galore.

Oak plays his Aladdin part perfectly with his black belly basket and antique Turkish Kilim cushion from A Hare in the Forest boutique, who encapsulates modern bohemian aesthetic in all its forms. Go and visit their Aladdin’s cave, where you will enter into a spellbound world of wicker baskets, Afghan rugs, liberty print & organic clothing for children, Moroccan textiles and Scandinavian Homeware.
