This week on Chit Chat Tuesday we talk with eight-year-old child actress and model Rhys Olivia.
Rhys has been modelling since she was four years old for both high-end fashion campaigns and editorials. Sighting acting as a love, Rhys has undertaken some of her biggest challenges to date as an actor, unfortunately, we can not reveal the details of this but you can follow Rhys on Instagram here and scroll down to find out more about this young rising star.
JS: How long have you been modelling and how did you get into modelling?
RO: Since I was four years old. I was a semi-finalist on the Kelly & Michael Morning Show and made it to the top 15 out of 200,000 applicants.
JS: To date which are your favourite modelling shoots?
RO: Oscar De La Renta is my favourite. I really am loving filming on the major motion picture I will be featured in.
JS: What do you like about modelling?
RO: I think it has to be the friends that I meet that I like the most.
JS: Who is your favourite model?
RO: I like all models. Kate Upton is really pretty.
Presenter Steven Harvey interviews Rhys Oliva on Big Shots Little Shots.
JS: What do you want to be when you are older?
RO: I don’t really know for sure yet. I think a photographer, an artist and an actress. I would also like to be a teacher.
JS: What is your favourite subject at school and why?
RO: My favourite subject in school is writing. It allows me to use my imagination to make up my own stories.
JS: How do you balance school and your modelling work, etc?
RO: My Dad and Mom help me to do that. I just got my report card with straight A’s. My Mom doesn’t like to pull me from school so we decline a lot of jobs.
JS: What are your hobbies?
RO: I love to play the Ukulele. I sing in a choir and also have guitar lessons. I love to draw and love acting.
JS: If you could change anything in the world, what would you change and how?
RO: I would change that people would stop killing animals for nothing. I would do this by making people aware of how wrong it is. I would have my parents help me share it on social media. I would also stop all the trash being thrown around the earth. I help by cleaning the area with my Dad, being an example to others.
JS: What is your biggest dream?
RO: My biggest dream would be that I am in 25 movies by the time I am 18.
JS: Can you tell us a little about work you have in the pipeline and interesting projects on the horizon?
RO: I am filming a major motion picture right now. (I am not allowed to say what) It will come out in August of 2018. I am so excited to see myself on the big screen with some fantastic movie stars. I am also booked again for my favourite modelling job. I can’t wait.
