The colour trend for AW18 explores the narrative of reconnecting with nature and expressing wilder instincts that evokes a deep mystery with our planet.
AW18 has a deep rich palette. Colours are inspired by sun-bleached textures and natural dyes of flora and fauna.
The rich warm tones of wine red and plum, have an intense depth which is an ideal for base colours for the season, that can be accompanied by accent colours of earthy browns and rusted gold, which illuminates that colour palette for children’s wear this autumn.
Wilder Colour Trends (Above Image) – Palette That Reflects The Richness.
Rich warm tones of red are at the core of this palette that is complemented with hues of purples and enriched earthy browns.
Warm Tones – Red Heather.
Earthy tones of red heather and red clay work cohesively together with hedgerow plum and wine red palettes. The baby wear and toddler markets present soft peaches that make it full of life, paired with vanilla and rusted gold.
Hedgerow Plum – Regal & Royal.
Solid base colours that are hand-dyed and have brewed quality are important. Wine Berry and Hedgerow Plum have an intense, depth that makes them ideal for base tones.
Rusted Gold – Enriched Earthy Browns.
Adding Rusted gold to your colour palette for the season will ease up dark hues of plums and wine red giving a sense of balance for AW18/19. Rusted gold have trans-seasonal charm across both genders in children’s wear.
