Like wildflowers; you must allow yourself to grow in all the places people thought you never would – E.V
From the origin of a flower’s name to its very distinctive characteristics & rich mythology, flowers are infused with symbolism and meaning. There is a language of flowers and Josephina Carlier’s beautiful editorial displays this.
Q & A with Josephina Carlier:
JS: Where did you get the inspiration for your shoot from?
Sari the stylist wanted to do a flower shoot and I went by the park where I had planned to shoot last week and noticed that all the flowers had sadly finished blooming so I ended up just shooting in my tiny little yard. The hair and makeup artist cancelled the day before because she got a job and then on the day of, the second model got sick half an hour before the shoot. So this was a prime example of when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade 🙂
We are super happy with our lemonade 🙂
JS: Are you green fingered?
I love gardening but don’t have much time for my poor little garden.
JS: What is your favourite flower?
I can’t pick one favourite flower, it is too hard to choose! I especially love Peonies, Ranunculus and tulips.
