Q & A with Amber:

JS: Where did you get the inspiration for Twin Flame from?

AE: The inspiration behind Twin Flame comes from an older girl seeing her younger self in a younger girl. It is about two girls connecting as sisters even though they are not related.

JS: How did you come to choosing the models for Twin Flame?

AE: Anya’s mum (the younger model’s mum) came to me with the idea of photographing Harley and Anya together, and as they are such close friends already, I thought it would be a perfect concept.
This editorial really shows the friendship between both the models, in between shots they would burst into laughter or be making faces at each other it’s really fun to watch and capture.

JS: Are there any standout moments from the shoot or fun moments?

AE: For this editorial, we decided to bring back cats cradle as it brought a sense of nostalgia but also managed to hook the kids onto it, so instead of watching kids play on Ipads between shots they were both playing cats cradle and having lots of fun.

JS: Β Where do you get your inspiration from?

AE: I get a lot of inspiration from Pinterest and Instagram, from other kids photographers, magazines and editorials. I love seeing other people’s work and how everyone works with kids in such a unique way.
