A dynamic blend of romantic elements and playful patterns, as colourful as a child’s imagination. For Spring/Summer 2017, the FENDI KIDS collection brings us elegant apparel with forays into the floral world, together with funky-pop motifs, for a fresh, sleek wardrobe, always with a keen eye to irony and absolute sophistication.

The journey with FENDI KIDS continues, this time through gardens in bloom, among the buds and succulents, following the directions of the talking eyes, which give fun messages, transforming clothes into veritable ready-to-wear games! For girls, little flowers matching those in the women’s wardrobe create bon-ton gardens, on sweetly embroidered dresses in denim or crêpe de chine, in splendid lilac and aqua-green tones. Wildflowers dance from one garment to the next: from soft sweatshirts to denim jackets, from poplin blouses to jeans with fluttering ruches like gravitational waves, between light fabrics and gorgeous textures, such as organza combined with cotton, or tulle matched with denim.

For boys, stripes are a leitmotif: horizontal or vertical, white or multi-coloured, they abound in jackets, Bermuda shorts and T-shirts, perhaps punctuated with a black kitten with appealing eyes, playing hide-and-seek among the cacti. Fun-filled features appear in bright colours, like the yellow of the sunshine that peeps out on shirts and trousers, or the green and orange of the cacti and the lightbulbs that bounce between sweatshirts, windbreaker coats and cargo pants.

The wording FENDI livens up cool cartoon clouds, while little “talking eyes” play on bib overalls, T- shirt and polo shirts, filling the whole collection with unexpected touches of irony.

For the tiny tots, fabrics are soft and light: flowers and ruches for girls, and lots of colourful prints for boys. In the nursery pink and blue hues are softened by combining them with white: tiny tone- on-tone embroidered flowers enhance striped cotton, poplin or white muslin in romantic little dresses and tops. For boys, the mischievous kitten is softened in pastel tones as it plays with little cacti embroidered on onesies, bodysuits, blankets and sleeping bags. With the return of the sunshine, the contagious joy of colour makes a comeback: clouds, writing, light bulbs, talking eyes and speech bubbles are mixed with all-over prints, redesigning linings or forming peppy patches on solid-colour garments.
