To add to our updates from the recent Pitti Bimbo bi-annual trade fair which took place on the 16th-18th January 2020 in Florence, Italy, we bring you highlights from Italian Luxury brand Il Gufo FW20 catwalk show.
The Il Gufo fashion show is one of the fashion events which took place outside of the Fortezza de Basso, the home of Pitti Bimbo and Pitti Immagine and took place in the prestigious Basillica Santa Maria Novella, the first great Basilica in Florence and after a little tea party for press and buyers, ‘The World is our Kingdom’ show began.
The fashion show imagined what if all the power in the world was in children’s hands just for one day, what would they do? What kind of kingdom would they come up with? The principles of the new kingdom were spelt out on shields, with the slogans ‘Defenders of the Earth‘, ‘Royalty lies in what you do’, ‘Make Kindness your Weapon‘, ‘Mother Nature is our Queen’. These themes can be seen in several of the fashion shows that took place during Pitti Bimbo 90 and across childrenswear collections for FW20, a theme brought to the attention of via our own magazine, Tangereene 1.5 years ago!
Show highlights feature a Scottish Piper and his son who set the mood for the grand finale spectacular.
