Natasha Bridges passionately blogs & photographs her son Oak slow living adventures in the stunning Shropshire & British countryside while wearing sustainable children’s fashion. Natasha loves to seek new brands with a beautiful ethical soul so go follow Natasha & Oak on Instagram @growing.oak.
Time endlessly stands still in whimsy enchantment as we wander throughout the delightful Blists Hill Victorian Town embracing our historical past. Oak’s imagination is sparked passionately by this fun interactive learning experience, feeling like he had travelled to the atmospheric Victorian life in the late 11800s in a H. G. Wells time machine.
Our cold days are made snuggly and warm by layering up in timeless unisex knits by Sommer and Kinder while taking in the nostalgic vision before us.
Sommer and Kinder, based in Germany, are a sustainable children’s natural knitwear brand with a dedication for slow fashion and a slow pace of life.
Letting the needles rattle in every free minute, founder Miriam Sommer, knitting passion runs deep. With many years of wholeheartedness to the craft including knitting for VIVIENNE WESTWOOD during her diploma and for her three children whilst on parental leave ultimately inspired to start her own brand.
High-quality threads of devotion are woven throughout the entire collection, with endearing colours and soft yarn knitwear that you will want to keep and pass on for generations to come. Everything in the collection is perfection, to the special fineness of the soft fibres right down to the smallest detail.
Oak travels through his time machine like clockwork wearing the super comfy pants made of fine merino wool which provides the perfect amount of warmth without unnecessary bulk or itch and can still be washed at 30 ° C in the wool wash cycle.
Continuing to play with luxurious charisma as a strong man at the Victorian fairground in his hardwearing pullover, it is clear plenty of attention was given to the knitwear functionality and the child’s happiness with a massive bundle of consideration on graceful style.
Outside the bewitching Squatter Cottage, Oak connects with nature by using his bird caller while wearing his fanciful pixie colourful hat with shawl collar, a flawless match to Oak’s bohemian spirit.
These enchanting heirlooms do not deserve to fit in any drawers but should hang triumphantly in every child’s wardrobe. I invite you to share in our cosiness this winter by visiting the whimsical Sommer and Kinder.
