Fab Finds: The Line and Dot Edit

SS17 line and dot edit on the Junior Style London blog

Line, line, dot, dot, these fab finds are really hot! As the Spring Summer 17 collections slowly make their way into the boutiques, we already sense that modern art as design inspo in children’s fashion will not be changing anytime soon. The popularity of simple geometric shapes and figural line drawings invokes the expressiveness of children’s drawings and a celebration of gestural and figurative lines. Here is our first February round-up of fab finds!

1. Leoca Paris’ Maud dress features a gathered skirt and chambray straps with colourful ribbons in soft primary colours and has a Kandinsky-lite vibe we love—perfect for playground days, picnics and fairs this summer!

2. This Bobo Choses t-shirt available from kodomo has all the vintage vibes you need for your little fashionista. The asymmetrical tee features shoulder drawstrings and a row neck.

3. We are in love with this vintage abstract printed cotton voile top and it’s lovely layers and neck time from Velveteen available from Little Rags and Riches. Scoop one up for your little girl at Little Rags and Riches.

4. The Hummingbird Fruit dress by the Animals Observatory is a summer must-have: an easy-breezy silhouette with deconstructed fruit on a crisp white background; the simple shapes and retro palette are irresistible!

5. This black and white bathing suit by Motoreta from mo+me kids features gorgeous black ruffles at the hip and criss-cross straps in the back—a sophisticated choice for the ladies this summer!

6. This rounded Circa tee by Motoreta from mo +me kids is so sublime with it’s grid design. Your little one can walk around like a mini Sol LeWitt in the making!

7. Black and white looks so sophisticated all year long and this sleeveless button-up top by Fun and Fun from Little Rags and Riches lends a perfect vaguely 80’s vibe that will pair perfectly with hot pants or a skate skirt.

8. Ghosts, like dinosaurs, are always a good idea and we love these line-drawn little guys by GRO from Lublue. Buy them a size up and keep them til Halloween!
