As September looms and the kids get ready to start a new school year, I’ve pulled together an edit of back to school cool kids fashion.
My son MG has to wear a dull school uniform consisting of a navy sweater, white shirt and grey trousers. However, I have a soft spot for the preppiness of uniform. I adore the crisp pleats, checks and geeky knits and have incorporated some of those style influences into my selection.
Now there are two steps to aceing ‘school cool’. The first step is choosing neat, library-ready pieces for a more formal look. This is where you get out your pinafores, smart shirts and buckled shoes. The second step introduces a more sporty element, for some style swagger. Varsity bomber jackets, knee high socks and fun back packs are the must have finishing touches.
