Chit Chat Tuesday: Meet Childrenswear Stylist Francesca Bartoli

cct franbartoli intro imageGood Morning, Good Morning, Good Morning lovely people! I hope that you are all well and have had a fabulous start to the week!

How we are approaching the end of November is beyond me! I know I always say it but time really is flying! My brother is studying in America and after not being home for a year will be returning within the next few weeks! That year has been one of THE fastest yet!! Saying that, I am so excited to see him!!
This week on CCT I have the wonderful Fran Bartoli who is a very well known childrenswear stylist.

I first met Fran at FRA and we are very fortunate to work very closely with her now at the Circus! We absolutely love it when Fran comes to visit us and her work is beyond stunning!

Right…enough gassing from me, let’s get on with the interview! Fran it’s so lovely to see you as always! Thank you so much for joining both myself and the CCT readers! Let’s start off by you telling us what your ultimate styling tip is?

Make sure you have a good kit as you never know what you might need. Mine includes bubbles, nappies and a cat toy for entertaining babies!

Haha that is absolutely hilarious! Circus Charli I’m sure would be able to relate to this!

How did you get in to styling?

I assisted a really big advertising stylist for about two years and she taught me the ropes! For that I am eternally grateful as it has gotten me to where I am today.

That’s so lovely! So, what publications do you normally work with?

I work with Smallish on a regular basis and have worked for Vogue Bambini, Luna, La Petite and Babiekins.

What a fabulous mix of publications to work with! They are all gorgeous! Where do you source most of your samples from?

I like to find new labels so I’m always on the look out for new brands. It’s so nice to see fresh exciting brands coming through.

I completely agree! There is nothing like finding a new brand that has got an extra special something! Have you got a favourite brand?

Oooo it’s so hard to say! I’ve got a few and they’re all very different.

What’s the most exciting shoot you have done to date?

I love every shoot I do but editorials give you the chance to be really creative and work with great photographers.

I love it when you guys aka stylists come in the showroom as you can see your minds creatively racing when your explaining the story that you’re thinking about shooting! AND last but not least…why children’s wear?

No day is the same but they’re always filled with fun and laughs!!

I think that’s the secret isn’t it? As long as there is fun and laughter thrown in to the mix you can tackle anything! Ah Fran it’s been so lovely having you on CCT! Thank you so much for joining us and sharing some of your styling secrets! Note to self – ALWAYS take bubbles with me to a shoot!!

Join me next week for lots more chinwagging! Big hugs and kisses <3 Kate xox
