As KPOP and KDrama explode onto the world stage, Seoul continues to evolve into a metropolis that is young, vibrant, and full of energy. This spirit can especially be seen in the neighborhood of Hongdae, which captures the spirit of youth.
Hongdae is home to Hongik University, one of South Korea’s leading and sought-after universities for the arts. At the university, there are students from many nationalities dancing and singing on its streets giving one a sense that they feel alive with the future. These young people fill establishments and continue their favorite Korean past times of taking photos, singing songs, and playing games with a sense of a carefree attitude. For just that one moment, anyone can be 18 again!
