Presenting concept store CouCou’s AW22 Lookbook images and a unique music video, The Lakehouse.
Inspired by the lyrics of “Ain’t No Man” by the Avett Brothers, The Lakehouse captures those years when our whole lives stretched before us, like a warm summer’s day full of promises, ice cream and laughter. “This video reminds us what childhood should be about. It captures the mood and soul of our young ones. The innocence, the love, the joy,” comments Astrid Motsenigos, the shop owner, with the words delivered by the children in the video being particularly important to the message of resilience and kindness. Elizabeth Alison, the cinematographer and editor of the new AW22 collection video, captures the essence of childhood with a documentary sensibility, something CouCou aims to nurture.
The Lakehouse features some of CouCou’s best-selling brands such as the Boston darling turned globally acclaimed Misha & Puff, the Portugueses award-winning brand Piupiuchick, and quintessential Parisian children and women’s brand Émile et Ida.
The Lakehouse AW22 collection video is the first of many to come from the concept store’s owner Astrid, who, prior to setting up CouCou Boston, was the Creative Director of the World Photography Organisation (WPO) as well as a key figure in the launch of the Sony World Photography Awards. “This series shows more than the beautiful fashion and lifestyle CouCou offers. It expresses a love of photography and the power it has to take us back in time and inspire new adventures.” adds owner Astrid Motsenigos
