In Vermont’s northern regions, the much revered and often demonized season of mud is fully upon us. For a brief period of time between winter and spring, high elevation snow melts are the source of burgeoning streams and wavy mud roads. Delicate native vegetation finds its way above ground in hopes of surviving the fluid landscape. Meanwhile, birdseed is stripped from the shelves of stores as we anticipate the return of the black bear. As the ruckus subsides, foraging begins. Ramps grow in abundance yet our search for the elusive morel mushroom is fruitless. So we settle for a visit to our favorite watering hole that roars almighty this time of year. When the rapids are calm, a patient eye can spot gold in its streambed. It is a season to be reckoned with but embraced all the same.
In seasons of change, we relish the beauty of Spanish label, Cosmosophie. They present a delightful collection proving to be the perfect entrée to spring. While the world around us rages in fury, a bit of delicacy grounds our souls. Effervescent semi-sheer floral cotton finds its way onto romantic ruffles and a gathered victorian collar. Elegant, relaxed pieces define the stylings of this deeply nostalgic line of childrenswear.
