The three women behind the collaboration, Tatiana Santo Domingo, Celia Muñoz and Dana Alikhani.
This week has seen the launch of the latest collaboration from luxury childrenswear label La Coqueta with the ethically minded online boutique Muzungu Sisters. Both Tatiana Santo Domingo and Dana Alikhani, the founders of the Muzungu Sisters are customers of the iconic Spanish brand La Coqueta and have been so for a number of years, both dressing their own children in the delicate vintage style designs. Celia Muñoz, the founder of La Coqueta is a big fan of the Muzungu Sisters collections and the artisan-crafted goods that they showcase.
The collaboration is a natural meeting of the two brands who both focus on traditional craftsmanship. The Muzungu Sisters artisanal embroidery and La Coqueta’s classic styles ensure the designs in the collection are timeless and can be worn for generations to come. The capsule collection includes embroidered shirts and dresses, shorts, bloomers and some accessories.
“This collaboration is a dream come true for La Coqueta – it has been amazing to see how their signature designs have been translated into my childrenswear and we have all loved every minute of the creative process.” – Designer Celia Muñoz
