The 24th edition of Playtime Paris, the international children’s and maternity tradeshow took place over three days from 2-4th July 2018.
There were nearly 540 brands displaying their new collections and this season saw a record-breaking number of new exhibitors showcasing their SS19 collections. The theme of ‘Kindness’, as a praise to mutual help and sharing between professionals passionate about their work.
If you check out our Instagram stories (Events highlights) you will see the wonderful trends spaces. Julie Malait, Playtime’s trend specialist created three trend areas ‘Neo Optimism’, ‘New Tribe’ & ‘Nova Gaia’ and offered visitors an immersion in a universe filled with Kindness. “What sort of planet will we leave to our children and what sort of children will we leave to our planet?” wonders Pierre Rabhi. The creation of a better world is no utopia. With values like respect, sharing, and love, we can build a kind future!

The New Now section, an area dedicated to emerging brands included, The New Society – winner of the Pirouette ‘One To Watch’ award at the recent Pitti Bimbo tradeshow, Petite Amalie a classic girlswear label from Australia, Small Stories a casual wear brand from the UK amongst the twelve brands which were selected by Cécile Roederer founder of Smallable concept store.
Some of our favourite kid’s collections include Milk & Biscuits (above), Caroline Bosmans, Wander & Wonder (below), Tinono Kids, Vivetta, Paade Mode, Manuela Kids Design, Bleu Comme Gris, Korean brand Bebebebe, Little Creative Factory and Mayaya Kids. Keep an eye out for these for Spring/Summer 2019!
