An interview with Veneta and Miss Kaira on their recent trip to Paris Fashion Week. For More PFW style visit their blog, Edgycuts.
JS: How long have you been visiting Paris Fashion Week with Kaira?
Veneta: I first visited Paris for Paris Fashion Week five years ago, with my sister Ivelina from the blog Frichic.com who is a fashion blogger. (See us pictured together above, with the late Street Style photographer Bill Cunningham) From then on I was hooked and I’ve developed some kind of addiction to the city’s vibes during that time of the year. I tend to visit most seasons with my hubby and Miss Kaira. Just like me, they too love Paris during this time too.
Since then we’ve made it a tradition to travel to Paris to meet old and new friends, see and shop the trends, experience the magic of fashion, and just plain enjoy ourselves. See below Kaira at two years old, a photograph seen in Vogue Mexico.
JS: It must have been hard seeing the shows with a toddler? Just thinking of images the media have presented with Kim Kardashian and her daughter not enjoying the FROW as such.
Veneta: It was not until this FW17 fashion week when I finally brought Kaira with me inside a show. There could not have been a first show more perfect for her to become deeply impressed and in love with fashion than the Manish Arora spectacle of out-of-this-world fantastic creations. Kaira was mesmerised, literally, by the models, the bright and colourful dresses, and the deep marching beat of the music.
Day two outfit.
Day Three – Kaira wearing Mummymoon.
JS: What have been the highlights for Kaira from the recent PFW?
Veneta: It was an incredible honour to mingle with the VIP fashion pack at the Roden Museum during Dior show. Making friends with the youngest upcoming designer Ivan, Natasha Zinko’s son (pictured below), and practising her English by giving a couple of TV interviews, were definitely highlights. :}
JS: What are Kaira’s Paris favourites? the Eiffel Tower, Colette, the Tuileries Garden, the Smallable concept store, the French pastries, the Metro
Veneta: The Eiffel Tower, Colette, the Tuileries Garden, the Smallable concept store, the French pastries and travelling on the Metro.
JS: What are Kaira’s Paris least favourite things?
Venta: Kaira does not like the original French macaroons because they are not as vibrantly coloured as our local ones! :}
