Introducing The Small Gatsby’s Young Adults Line DEBÜT, occasion wear for young women and men aged 12-18yrs.
The Small Gatsby’s young adult line DEBÜT is dedicated to a tradition originated in London, that is still strong in the heart of Europe. At Vienna’s Opera Ball, each winter, the debutantes, young women and men at the age of 18 years are formally being introduced to society. For this joyful occasion, where parents and grandparents proudly attend, they wear white dresses and black suits and enter the ballroom in couples, to altogether perform a choreographed dance, which ends in the typical Viennese Waltz.
Each season, The Small Gatsby offers a ballgown – a coloured interpretation of the debutante dress – for the young lady, which is playing upon the season’s theme, paired with a black suit for the young gentleman.
This season’s JUNGE RÖMER – ‘Young Romans’ DEBÜT dress is a Roman draped dress, featuring a typical one-shoulder bodice, a long trail, which is draped around the waist and upper body and a fully lined skirt, that falls in sheer layers below the knee. The dress is made by hand of 12 meters of midnight blue silk organza lined with soft rose silk pongé. It is a white-glove-delivery piece, made upon request to viennaworkshop@thesmallgatsby.
The suit for the young gentlemen is made of finest black corduroy velvet, the jacket is fully lined with silver dupion silk, with handmade buttonholes to lead earphones discretely through the reverse collar. While featuring a very classic Italian silhouette, the construction is one of a sports blazer, offering freedom of movement paired with utmost elegance. The crisp white gala shirt with ‘Vatermörder’ collar is a classic, seen at the all the balls in Vienna, and around the world.
DEBÜT offers exquisite statement wear for grand occasions – for an exceptional appearance at any festivity.
