I embrace the notion of children learning during outdoor play and what better way to spark the imagination than a visit to a Land Rover yard.

My partner Jason (Oak’s dad) has a massive passion for vintage vehicles so when he discovered a Land Rover dealer was importing Series 1 back to the UK from Australia it was too good an opportunity to miss. When we saw the Land Rovers scattered around the yard we were totally in awe at their outstanding condition for their age.

A machine unquestionably built to last. A car Oak was eager to explore and play in.

Now when you play around places like this, you’re not going to stay clean or avoid oil stains very long so a pair of good sturdy overalls is the fundamental attire in our household. In the warmer months, a thick suit can be quite stuffy hindering Oak’s play time. Obtaining a thinner pair but still retaining durability are hard to find.

Discovering the ABC123me catfish denim jumpsuit was therefore a blessing.

The jumpsuit material is 100% Tencel which is a fabric made from wood-based cellulose Lenzing fibres and are therefore completely compostable.

The fibres are more absorbent than cotton, softer than silk, cooler than linen and the do not damage easily under high temperatures making it a very durable fabric to wear. So just like a Landy the denim is built to last, ideal for Oak.

The jumpsuit versatility means can wear it in individual ways too, layering it up for the winter or tying it around the waist in the warmer months with a pair of leather sandals to complete the look.
