Dancing in the Grass is a label born of a mother’s love of fashion, family, and a healthy lifestyle. Offering whimsical, colourful styles for girls ages 2-10, Dancing in the Grass, an Instagram fave, makes a simple yet powerful statement through their designs: slow down and get back to nature! In that spirit, these certified GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) silhouettes are designed for ease of movement during play but offer fantastical prints that make imaginations soar.
The SS17 collection Berry Land is an homage to the Swedish countryside in summer when a variety of wild berries can be foraged by the basketful if you just know where to look. Blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, lingonberries and many more lend their colour and beauty to every field and garden. The berry motif is ingeniously combined with sea creatures like crabs, fish, jellyfish in rich jewel tones and pastels along with a stunning purple turnip print reminding us to eat our veggies!
Berry Land offers a wide variety of comfy styles from shorts and leggings to ruffle-sleeved tops and flutter cap-sleeve or hooded dresses and adorable swimwear. With so many vibrant and fun prints, children will certainly gravitate towards their favorite prints but we are in love with the raspberry fish prints (seen above and below) and the strawberry crab print— perfect for lazy beach days. We’d be remiss not to mention the happy seal print in broccoli for spring, so trendy!
Dancing in the Grass is available in their online shop and at fine boutiques worldwide. Learn more about founder and creative director Carla Hogstrom in Junior Style’s Chit Chat Tuesday interview series and view the AW16 collection here.
