Gaylin Howbert is passionate about children’s fashion and photography. A contributor to Babiekins magazine, Gaylin lives in Southern California where she enjoys spending time outside with her husband Josh and son Jace, aged four. Keep up with her on Instagram @gaylinnicole.
I have always had a love for fashion and often spent my time before marriage and having my son, reading fashion blogs and flipping through the beautiful pages of Vogue. Once Jace was born I found that my interest in fashion switched from the adult fashion world over to the one of children’s fashion. Around the time Jace turned one I discovered Instagram’s incredible children’s clothing brand community. Captivated by the uniqueness of each brand’s look I began to fill our son’s wardrobe with the beautiful styles. Photography has always been a big passion of mine. Taking photos of Jace’s childhood is something I love to do.
I found that taking photos of our daily hikes or at the beach adventures here in Southern California that included clothing items from brands on Instagram helped spread the word about these brands on social media which lead us into several years of “repping” for wonderful brands. Repping soon turned into blog posts for Hooligans Magazine, then I started to work on print editorials and lookbooks. Currently, I work as part of the blog team for Babiekins Magazine and as a photographer alongside my very talented friend Monika @sewfulloflove.
Devon’s Drawer garments are extremely comfortable for little ones to wear and no matter how many times the clothing is washed the colours do not fade and the garments look brand new. Devon’s Drawer is the perfect clothing for our outdoor adventures as Jace finds the garments easy to wear and comfortable.
