JS: The scenery in your photos is incredible. Where did you shoot?

CH: We shot in Monopoli, a small city on the Adriatic coast in Italy—such a beautiful place. My friend saw a picture taken there on Instagram and when she showed me I was like, we are going there. That it was a bit difficult to get there was just too bad, I really wanted to shoot there.

JS: The whole family went on this trip or just you and Sienna?

CH: The whole gypsy family hit the road—I had Sienna and her best friend since nursery school, Elle as models. Danel my husband and Samuel my son came along to help out. When I’m on a shoot I get so wrapped up in it that I need people to make sure that we actually arrive at the destination and that the kids get something to eat. I’m in another world.

JS: So you styled the girls yourself?

CH: Yes, and I also did all the hair and makeup, which is something I love.

JS: What was it like shooting in Monopoli?

CH: We had two days to shoot it all and the girls were amazing they just know me and I them. They are so uninhibited and always up for my sometime crazy ideas. And it was fun to see the locals’ reaction to the over-the-top dressed up girls. Everyone thought they where so beautiful.

JS: Tell me a little about fäfä.

CH: Regarding shooting for fäfä that has been a dream of mine. I have been in love with the brand for many years. When my friend from Japan used to come visit me I always got her to bring me so fäfä for Sienna. I just get [fäfä designer] Helen’s universe and I feel we are a great match!!I hope to work with her again on something crazy. I have so many ideas, as always.
