Kid’s cafes are one of the most popular activities for Seoul for parents and their children.

Seoul is one of the most highly populated cities in the world with varying temperatures from hot and cold, similar to Europe.  The kid’s cafes provide an indoor area for the children to interact with different toys and to also become educated while playing with them. They also give parents and their kids the opportunity to make like-minded friends of similar ages.

The lifestyle in Seoul can be so busy, with parents working long hours sometimes making it hard to create the ideal playful lifestyle for their children. Eunseon Jeong, Mum of Seoul Kids Fashion Show model Jenny Jung, said she enjoys kids cafes because they provide great environments for parents to talk with friends and to share information about their children.

“We can feel relaxed when taking our children to the cafes because the kids can play safely and we can join in or sit back and chat with the other mums,” Ms Jeong said.

“In Seoul, there are so many different types of kids cafes to choose from. There are princess themed cafes and even fun slime cafes, where we can see the children get together to play, have fun and we can hear them laugh.”

Clothing is important as kids need to be able to move freely and not feel restricted.  There are some great Korean brands that are easy to wear yet stylish and perfect for these playdates!

One of the kid’s cafes photographed in Hongdae called Lily Daisy is open seven days a week from the hours of 12 pm – 9 pm.

The children photographed are models from Korean based children’s label Mumu and Baba, who participated in Seoul Kids Fashion Show 2018.

Some of the models from the Seoul Kids Fashion Show celebrated Christmas at Modulepot Slime Café in Seongbuk-gu.
