Nixie Clothing is an independent label based in Hackney, East London and was created in 2006 by Nicole Frobusch.
Nicole was Born in 1970 to an Italian mother and German father in Muenster, Germany.
Nicole studied Graphic Design then moved to London and trained as an expressionist dancer with “Hilde Holger”. Nicole is also a former member of the “Mediaeval Baebes” and is married to Paul Winter-Heart former Drummer of Kula Shaker.
The passion for designing came to Nicole after the birth of her two daughters as Nicole found that she could not find sustainable, quality clothing of great design for her girls and it was at this point the seed for Nixie clothing was planted.
Nixie Clothing in 2013 is one of the foremost, sustainable, high end, independent, children’s clothing brands worldwide.
Nicoles inspiration draws on nature, ancient tribes, folklore and fairytales. With Nicole’s designs the emphasis is on the small detail and the magic of childhood. The Collections are handmade and are made with a combination of natural fabrics and Vintage Silks.
