JS Is it the first time you have worked with Becky Seager?

HC Becky and I have collaborated previously on a ‘Natural Sciences’ themed editorial piece for Enfants Terrible’s Magazine.  I loved Becky’s eclectic sense of style, of layering and pairing of garments that you would not expect to work, but they always sit together beautifully!  Both Becky and I seem to be on the same page creatively and love to collaborate on concepts that both inspire and challenge us.  Becky is a fantastic member of the team and I am very lucky to be able to work alongside her.

JS Where did the idea come from for the shoot?

HC On our previous shoot Becky mentioned that she was desperate to work on a Tibetan themed piece, and I agreed it would make a wonderful concept for a children’s fashion shoot.  A couple of months later we were sat in her kitchen, surrounded by Mongolian fashion books, mood-boards and notebooks, scribbling down plans and ideas.

Both of us agreed that we had to have Rachel Jones on board! Rachel is an incredible hair and make up artist, who really elevates a shoot to another level. Rachel is wonderful to work with and her style and handiwork with pom poms is tip top! Becky also mentioned Jon Revell, a fantastic set designer. It was fab having Jon on board – he created beautiful sets that looked as if they were transported directly from Tibet!

The shoot was great fun and a wonderful example of how lucky I am to work alongside such friendly, talented artists.

Becky and I are already planning the next shoot, watch this space!
