Jessica Dickinson of the beautiful children’s lifestyle blog Blake Acres shares her love of classic children’s wear label Mabo on the Junior Style blog today. Jessica and her Boston-based family are spending the summer in London and we adore keeping up with their adventures around town, like this outing toIsabella Plantation. As we go about our days in London, we’ve been soaking up gardens galore. Communal, medicinal, manicured, untamed, they each have distinct personalities that we inherently acquire during our visits. Such was true on a trip to the enchanting Isabella Plantation, a woodland garden south west of London.
This little piece of heaven is not far off the beaten path, manageable in size, with four miniature duck ponds, flowering azalea bushes and countless footbridges.
Summer has finally arrived and this day called for breathable linen from the classic childrenswear brand, Mabo. Maker of wonderfully easy to wear pieces that are quick to become wardrobe staples, Mabo stands the test of time with quality fabrics and skill-full construction.
Classic designs are updated with seasonal fabrics like this star washed linen. Elise’s Marni Halter Top can be shared among siblings as a dress for Mila while her Frances Beach Skirt achieves that sought-after relaxed drape that screams summer and skipping stones.
Meanwhile, Mabo has perfected the essential piece for any 18-month-old. The Mabel Playsuit is a functional, yet darling garment and fan favourite in our household.
A summer outing is never complete without some essentials, which for us include a wonderfully soft blanket from the Scandinavian brand Fabulous Goose (as above). A piece for all seasons, the Circus Bear Blanket has served us well from quelling a sudden chill to setting the stage for a garden picnic. Inventive designs and soothing colours in organic cotton will have you wanting one in every room of your home.
