Cool Holiday Wear for your Kids this Summer

indikidualphoto Yes, Summer is here and we can finally relax our shoulders and go in to more of a holiday mode. I love the light mornings, long days, and just how easy everything is when the world around us transforms into one big playground. Just open the doors and the kids are immediately happy (and so are we)!
……And what to wear? Well, that’s another perk with this season. There are so many beautiful options to choose from!

I’ll be looking at some of the highlights from Scandinavian designers in this post, a little for every occasion. Girls’ summer dresses are so beautiful, but don’t underestimate how cute & practical shorts & t-shirts can be. There are lots of cool choices in boy’s summer wear with some super fresh colours this year. Not to mention beach wear, that’s a whole fashion world in itself!

So wake up with the birds, breathe in all those beautiful light moments this season, and have fun finding your favourite Summer styles.

Girls’ Tops: Dreams and Reptiles

I admit I do love butterflies and dreamy days, and therefore love the Daydream t-shirt from Molo, have a look at all the fantasy details. MINI A TURE’s top features beautiful dragonflies and a glittery collar. Butterflies feature strongly this season, have a look at these gorgeous t-shirts: the Lotus tee from Soft Gallery, the Vida ‘ciao bella’ T-shirt from Aya Naya and the butterfly T-shirt from Mini Rodini.

On the other hand, I also have several favourites amongst the refreshing prints of animals and reptiles now featuring in the girls’ collections. The gorgeous giraffe tee with frilly sleeves is from Mini Rodini and so it the super cool Lizzard tee. Molo brings the sunny palm tree t-shirt and the safari t-shirt, both oozing Summer. I also wanted to include the cute and original top from NoaNoa Miniature with multicoloured fabric pieces at the front and gathered sleeves.

Boys’ Tops: Bugs and the Sea

You’ve probably noticed a bit of a bug-trend this season, and of course nautical styles or anything to do with the sea belongs to Summer. The animal kingdom features through all seasons, and I’ve selected a couple of t-shirts here I thought looked a bit different.

From top left: MINI A TURE are good with colour, and I fell for this striped T-shirt with an orange contrast collar. The grey moose T-shirt from Molo provides cool style, and Birdy from BangBang Copenhagen is just gorgeous. Molo also gives us uber cool with the Raven bugs T-shirt and the Rob surfer T in a beautiful turquoise colour. The orange nautical top from MINI A TURE is both classic and ‘fresh’.

Love Practical: Shorts all around

Let’s take a moment to look at the brilliant Summer shorts. Perfect, cool, beautiful….and gives endless opportunities to mix and match with the fantastic tops and t-shirts we’ve been looking at.

The Molo Audrey shorts in animal print and a bitter lemon colour will add excitement to any Summer wardrobe. Aya Naya provides a cute & classic cut in their floral Bria shorts which will go with most anything. And you’ve got to love the cotton crepe shorts in a glorious coral colour from NoaNoa Miniature, and their stylish floral shorts in pale rose. The girl in the middle is wearing a lovely soft and light ‘Paris’ shorts from Soft Gallery. If you like jumpsuits, you’ll love the shorts version from NoaNoa Miniature, it’s glittery!

Now, for the boys we have treats like Indikidual’s green Zig-Zag shorts, which looks great and is super comfy. MeMini never disappoints with their gorgeous nostalgic designs, here the Linus shorts in a light blue tweed (top middle). The long denim Rai shorts from MINI A TURE looks great with a stripy blue pattern. Molo kids gives us the Adrien shorts which has a really cool checked pattern. And finally, one of my personal favourites is the pink Elephant shorts from Minirodini. Very cool.

Beautiful Sunny Dresses

These dresses can be used in the garden, by the sea, or for any fab party. I think the understated Luisa dress from MINI A TURE is really sweet and it’s so soft and practical too. The Molo Cindarell dress looks magical and makes you picture happy fairies. The fantastic giraffe dress is from Minirodini, as is the Lizzard dress which creates a great combination of pretty and cool. The incredibly cute Cat dress in denim is from BangBang Copenhagen, and the gorgeous glow red coloured dress with a white ribbon detail at the chest is from NoaNoa miniature.

Life at the Beach

Finally, let’s embrace Summer fully and hit the beach. Absolutely adoable pieces for both boys and girls.

Check out the Kiteflyer suit from Molo kids, a true Summer statement. Katvig gives us the gorgeous baby suit in blues and greens.The cool striped brown beach/swim trunks are from Minirodini, as are the green Zebra shorts.The navy blue Norton swim shorts with the great star print on is from Molo kids.
